Artist Mentoring
We all need someone in our corner, a support network of peers, advocates and friends. Mentoring combines support with professional direction and is a powerful way of moving your practice forward with purpose and strategy. Whether you’re feeling stuck in your methodology or need help organising an overwhelming to-do list, having a fellow artist to talk to and check in with can help you get on track. I offer artist-to-artist mentoring that combines business tools and practical support.
Some of the areas I can help you with…
Planning your studio time and workload
Deciding on your goals
Specialist painting and drawing support
Clarifying your methods, themes and ideas in your work
Getting started with your art business planning
Website design and social media
Accountability and support
About me
I studied painting, BA(hons), at the Glasgow School of Art and later studied for an MFA at the University of Hull
I’m also a qualified adult eduction tutor with years of experience working with artists and students at all stages of their careers, including artists starting their practice later in life
I’ve been exhibiting and selling for over 20 years, worked on arts projects, taken part in fairs, pop-ups and open studios. I understand how tough it can be.
I take my own practice seriously, but approach life with generosity and humour, continuing to learn and grow my own art. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
