I offer drawing and painting workshops throughout the year including one-to-one artist days at my studio in York where we can take a deep dive into your practice. I also teach community-based drawing and painting classes from beginners to professional artists. Some of my courses are offered through York Learning, though I also run private groups and work with other organisations to offer a range of fine art courses. Artists Painting Day
Working at my studio / full or half-days
Spend a day working with me in my studio, with tailored tuition centred around your own practice.
We’ll start by discussing your work, where you want to take it and what you’d like to develop. We’ll then spend the day painting and drawing together, exploring composition, colour and the language of mark-making.
This is a focused day of tuition, discussion and practical work, with critical feedback and support throughout. I’ll draw on my experience as an artist and tutor to help you push your painting forward, try new approaches and expand your practice.
All materials provided, plus tea, coffee and snacks. Just bring a packed lunch.

Monoprint Drawing

At my studio
Come and spend time at my studio, just outside York, learning one of my favourite techniques - monoprint drawing. I’ll show you the principles of monoprinting with a focus on the experimental drawing techniques and mark making that inform my own practice. All materials are provided.
