Art Classes in York
I teach regular community-based drawing and painting classes in and around York, from beginners to professional artists. Most courses are offered termly through York Learning - though I also run some private groups from time to time. Painting & Drawing: Beginners
8 week course
An introductory-level course offering plenty of tutor guidance, making it ideal for learners with little or no experience. We focus on basic skills and building confidence. Weekly classes, in a group of no more than 12 students.

Monoprint Drawing
Various times available
Come and spend time at my studio, just outside York, learning one of my favourite techniques - monoprinting. I’ll show you the principles of monoprinting with a focus on the experimental drawing techniques that inform my own practice.
1 or 2 students /all materials provided + tea and coffee
£90 for 2 hours (1 student) or £120 (2 students)
Landscape Oil Painting
FULL - 1 day workshop
We’ll be using traditional oil paints to create a series of landscape studies exploring the colours, textures, and unique qualities of oils, building on the basics while also trying more advanced techniques and ideas. All welcome.
A one day workshop with a maximum of 10 students.

Mentoring
Sessions available Mon-Sat
Book a mentoring session from 60 mins +. Bespoke and centred on you and your practice, mentoring can be in person (at my studio) or online. Get in touch and we can discuss what would work best for you before you book. I can offer a combination of mentoring and tuition if you want to combine both practical workshop sessions with mentoring.
£55 per hour

One-to-One Painting Tuition
Various times available
Tailored tuition for artists and students, centred around drawing and painting.
I offer tuition in oils and water-based paints with a focus on use of colour, mark-making, abstraction and composition. Lessons can be in-person at my studio, or online
From £45 per hour
(fees can vary dependent on materials required for your sessions; this will be discussed before booking.
